CHILDREN WEEK FESTIVAL “OPEN DAYS” 2016
The second edition of the Children Week “Open Days” was organised from 24 to 26 October 2016 in Pristina and Peja. As in the previous edition, the participating schools (12 schools) were selected in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) and the Municipal Education Directorates.
Activities for elementary schools in Pristina included visits and games on archeology at the National Museum of Kosovo, cartoons screening at the ABC Cinema, lectures and exhibition on the visuals arts from Kosovo at the National Gallery and workshops on music from Kosovo at the Faculty of Music of the University of Pristina.
Activities for high schools in Pristina focused on lectures and workshop with designers and photographs at the Graphic Design Department of the Faculty of Arts, lectures and exhibition on the visuals arts from Kosovo at the National Gallery, lectures and meetings with writers from Kosovo and meetings with the managers of “Termokiss”, the new cultural space in Pristina.
For the activities in Peja, “Animate it!” workshop carried out by the Swedish animator and producer Mr. Erling Ericsson was organised and managed by the Anibar Animation Festival team. The workshop was addressed to elementary and high school students.
